250th Independence Day in Hartshorne
The Hartshorne Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce a spectacular lineup of community events in honor of Independence Day. The Chamber invites residents and visitors alike to join in a variety of festivities showcasing Hartshorne’s incredible community spirit.
This year’s celebration features several exciting activities designed for all ages, running right alongside the highly anticipated Blue Mountain Western Festival.
Schedule of Events & Contests
Blue Mountain Western Festival
- Dates: July 2, 3, & 4
- Location: Hartshorne Rodeo Arena
- Enjoy three days of thrilling rodeo action and western heritage as the community comes together for this beloved tradition.
The “Stars, Stripes & Snouts” Kids and Pet Parade
- Date & Time: July 4th at 9:00 AM
- Location: Meet at rodeo ground and ends at the park
- Dress up yourself, or with your furry, feathered, or scaly friends in their most patriotic attire! Hosted by the Chamber, this fun-filled parade is the perfect way to kick off your Fourth of July morning.
The “Red, White & Color” Kids Contest
- Who: Children ages 1–12
- Dates: Pick up pages starting June 24; Return by July 3
- Location: Hartshorne Library
- Sponsored by the Chamber, this contest lets your little ones show off their artistic skills! Coloring pages will be available for pickup at the Hartshorne Library. All masterpieces must be returned to the library by July 3rd to be judged.
“Paint the Town Red, White & Blue” Storefront Decorating Contest
- Deadline: Decorate by July 1
- Calling all local businesses! Show your patriotic pride by decorating your storefronts. Decorations must be completed by July 1 and remain up throughout the duration of the Festival. The winning business will receive a commemorative plaque from the Chamber.
